Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Azure

One of the great benefits of any cloud based computer is the fact that you don't need to maintain your own hardware. No need to think about updates. No need to worry about disaster striking at the hardware level. No need for your own dedicated IT crew. Just sit back and enjoy the computers which are maintained by Microsoft themselves.
  • Webhosting
  • Test environment
  • High availability
  • Making parallel things (such as nic and legacy network) which behave differently.
  • Enable downtime for VPN portal.
  • Build your own server.
  • Combined server needs and backup needs in one solution.
  • Possibility to switch off computer at night and weekend saving lots of $$.
  • Quick deployment.
  • Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
Honestly in my opinion there is no one winner in this area. Both Azure and AWS are great in their own way. Pricewise it all depends in where you're from. Options are very similar and quality of what you get as well as the customer service are both great.
One of our customers needed a solution where several users could simultaneously use the same computer, but did not have anywhere near the budget to buy a proper server. He also needed a good solution for backing up his data off site. Using Azure he managed accomplishing both those needs at once.
