Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID
We use it for MFA for our 365 users and then we expanded that to SSO for both an in-house app and some of our third-party apps.
Pros
- The SSO setup is pretty easy to use. It has a lot of trees, little filled into it. It wasn't real hard to set up. It's inherently confusing, especially with saml, but it worked pretty well.
Cons
- Entra works pretty well. It's a little confusing with the two control panels. Some stuff's still in admin, some stuff's in the Azure portal and the Azure Old interface, some it's in the new Entra. It's a little confusing, but I've used it long enough that I know where everything is.
- It's hard to measure it because it's mostly preventing things through MFA. So it's "did we lose $300,000 in a breach?" Possibly, but we'll never know.
We're entirely Cloud-based. No on-prem at all. We started with 365 and expanded it as I mentioned to other apps.
Yes. The in-House app and several third parties.
Not on-prem, but in cloud in-house developed app. That's our primary one. We also had Salesforce, we had concur box.com, several others.
Yeah, they changed it so that they made the app first, so we noticed when that change made.
