Microsoft Entra ID Review
Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID
Mainly to assist us with identity management and zero trust access for users for identity based, zero access for the users.
Pros
- I think that the conditional access policies is one of the greatest engines that this product has because it allows very granular control of access for the users with good integration to other platforms, both within Microsoft and other external parties to allow and provide very secure access based on our needs.
Cons
- One of which is there is a very fast rate of UI changes which impacts users who need to use it on a daily basis and for users not to experience with Microsoft, it leads to many manuals being outdated too soon.
- As a result for this product has been kind of easy to adopt, it's the rate of adoption among the administrators was pretty high and it was very fast paced so it didn't require us to go through the whole process of involving a vendor to have them trained and so on. And the overall areas with the licensees that we have help us to achieve much more than we would have if we had many other products that we had to link together and integrate together because everything comes in a single platform.
We have both internal active directory, which is connected and provisioning to our Entra id.
Yes, so we have many enterprise applications, which we provide the access to them through the Entra ID.
Non on-premise apps, but we have SaaS apps like Salesforce that are connected to the id.
I haven't noticed any changes because it was the primary tool that we were using for a couple of years now, so it was before my time.
