Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID

We have used Entra ID for multiple customers, to solution their access management, as well as authentication and authorization solutions.

Pros

  • Access management, authentication authorization was definitely one of the best use cases which we have implemented.

Cons

  • It's more into the compliance use cases, compliance reporting wherein there should be more detailed reports can be generated with respect to the risky users. Segregation of duties, all those kind of access management issues can be, those are the things I would like.
  • It has been a very tremendous improvement in their security departure and it has always been a great product for easy implementation and then easy management so that the cost to the customer is also very simplified.
There are customers who has both on-prem AD as well as the Azure Andra, where they have Azure Ready Connect to integrate or sync up their data and it has been worked out very well for them. And there are multiple sync problems that we have recorded and solved for them. It has been a good going so far.
Yes
A lot of customers in the SaaS. We have Salesforce is major one and some of their SAP instances we have managed. And then some of the customers have integrated their BSCO publications, which are deployed on-Prem to intra and it has worked, worked for them.
Entra ID has been always very successful and the user experience is definitely good when it comes to single sign-on and Entra ID has been a great product altogether.

Recently we were looking at Entra IGA identical governance and administration product for some of my customers. We think for a small and a medium sized organizations that can be a better product. But when it comes to a financial institution with large user base and then their regulatory requirements are different, so we thought there is a lot of rooms that is there and then when there is an environment which involves multi-cloud and all, there is a lot of improvement that is required.
