Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID

We are an MSSP and an MSP. So we have a number of clients that we resell Microsoft products to. A lot of them being Entra ID. So we support their end users for the total suite of Microsoft things. So maintaining Azure AD and now Entra ID, Microsoft 365 email. One comment I do have is the renaming of things constantly has been somewhat of an issue and pain point, but otherwise, I mean the product is a good product. It does what it needs to do well. It's just confusing at times with the renaming of everything.

Pros

  • Logging is quite good when it's enabled and being able to see what actions are being taken in the console and actions being performed by users such as app registrations, generating alerts on rules and things of that nature. Everything's pretty clear and easy to navigate through the console as long as you know what particular module you're looking for.

Cons

  • I would say making conditional access available to more users rather than requiring an additional license for that. As we navigate today's terrain and cybersecurity, it's something that everybody needs to be able to utilize and shouldn't be restricted.
  • It's had a positive return of income. I mean, we sell it to majority of our customer base and maintain it for them. So it makes us money.
Yes, both. It is a hybrid deployment.
Not to the end user experience.
So G Suite and I mean I've used on-Prem Active Directory. Those are really the competitors Jam for the Mac side of things, but that's a whole other story. Microsoft is the leader in that atmosphere for sure.

Do you think Microsoft Entra ID delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Entra ID's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Entra ID live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Microsoft Entra ID go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Entra ID again?

Yes

I think it's suited pretty much for any company that has majority Windows users utilizing Microsoft products. Of course, if they're using Gmail, that interface is not quite as robust and easier to navigate. So I would say it would be prime for all users to utilize the Microsoft suite of things.
