Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate

I use Microsoft Power Automate to connect external services and manage internal workflows. We have it pass data between customer-facing applications such as forms and bring it into employee-facing applications such as task lists and processes for review and approval. We also have it watch incoming tasks and schedule them on the calendar, as well as track the completion of tasks for internal review.
  • Work with other Microsoft apps
  • Checks reliably for triggers
  • System itself is very stable
  • They fail to update when external APIs are updated
  • Difficult to set up for non-IT
  • Can be overkill for those used to simpler products
  • Included in Microsoft O365 cost
  • Works well with other Microsoft products
  • Supported by Microsoft
  • Helps us focus on the work rather than the logistics
  • Automates some simple processes that would otherwise have delays waiting for human intervention
  • Reliably captures data to reduce human error
I have not used them
Power Automate is much more powerful than IFTTT or Zapier, and the cost is included in our current license. IFTTT is sometimes too simple in their API capabilities, and Zapier charges per process which means the high frequency tasks that we most want to automate quickly get prohibitively expensive. If I could get the functionality of Zapier, the UI of IFTTT, and the integrations with Microsoft of Power Automate I'd be much happier all around.

Do you think Microsoft Power Automate delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Power Automate's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Power Automate live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Power Automate go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft Power Automate again?

Yes

It's best if you have internal support for Microsoft or are well-versed yourself. It's not an intuitive interface, and not meant for simple everyday users to manipulate. It's often too powerful and provides too many options that get into programming and syntax rather than taking something simple like stripping the subject line of an email and repurposing it for the title of a task.
