Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)

We typically only use it when there are functions or connectors missing from Nintex or for very simple workflows that we don't want to waste a license quota on. A few users have tried Microsoft Power Automate's templates, but using them is difficult for our average user, and most give up pretty quickly.
  • Outlook automation
  • Scheduled workflow
  • Troubleshooting Flow issues
  • User friendliness!
  • UI is hard to read, each action's box is so large, it's difficult to see more than one item.
  • Premium items are 'hidden' in the templates, but users can't tell if they do or don't have the licenses required. In my experience, more than one has described it as 'bait and switch'
  • Connectors to Office Apps
  • None or very little
Nintex is far easier to use, both O365 and Cloud versions, than Microsoft Power Automate. Nintex used to fall short due to not having the connectors that Flow has, but their Cloud version is catching up very quickly.

Do you think Microsoft Power Automate delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Microsoft Power Automate's feature set?

No

Did Microsoft Power Automate live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Power Automate go as expected?

No

Would you buy Microsoft Power Automate again?

No

Microsoft Power Automate is difficult for the average user to use. Its canned templates use actions that are premium where a base action could be used. There are apparently quite a few actions that aren't available with a government (GCC) license, which further frustrates our users. On the positive side, it is excellent to use with anything related to the Office suite, in spite of having some glaring lacks. For instance, when using the 'Get Emails' function, there's no option to select by date.
