Use Cases and Deployment Scope

MS Power BI is being used across the entire organization. We use it to report Sales, Marketing and Operational metrics to our users in order to indicate areas of improvement, and help drive business decision making processes.

Pros and Cons

Power BI is strong in visualizing data from different sources into easy to navigate dashboards.
If you are familiar with MS Excel's Power Query and Power Pivot, Power BI will be very easy for you to use.

The data load is limited to 2GB at a time, which is somewhat limited.

Alternatives Considered

I only evaluated Power BI as this tool was very cost effective through our existing Microsoft agreement.

Likelihood to Recommend

When you have multiple sources of data that you want to report on in a single dashboard, Power BI is an ideal tool to accomplish that. It is easy to share the dashboards with your users through Power BI online or through the use of apps.
