Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security

Spear phishing attack prevention. 0day threat blocking and general malware protection are above and beyond what the built-in Office 365 protection provides.

Pros

  • Spam blocking.
  • Malware blocking.
  • CEO fraud protection.

Cons

  • Web interface isn’t the most intuitive.
  • Default out the box settings aren’t ideal.
  • Major risk reduction from email based threats.
The online console is not intuitive compared to other products I have used. So, although powerful, it is difficult for lower-skilled staff to understand.
Nable Mail assured, and the switch was very simple.
It is a lot more reliable and blocks many more of the threats we previously said.

It's perfect for larger companies, but the 50-seat minimum license is a real blocker for small companies unless they can purchase under an MSP offering whereby this limitation is removed. It’s perfect for every business to add protection, especially mail systems that don’t have their own high-quality protection built in. It’s also ideal for adding a layered approach to security to work alongside solutions such as Office 365 filtering.
