Pros

  • Social listening for media campaigns.

  • Consumer insights.

Cons

  • More demographic information beyond gender.
  • Trimming of duplicative mentions.
  • More credible numbers that don't shift a few days after pulling them.
  • More visible results on digital and social campaigns.
Good tool to use for basic social listening, and it continuously adds new sources of data to its platform, particularly for emerging media (ie Vine, Instagram, Pinterest).
  • Ask about the firehose function since it affects the data you pull.
  • See if they've improved attribution beyond gender.
  • Look into why numbers shift after each pull.
  • Be wary that it is a rolling dataset, any information past 1 year cannot be retrieved.
