Overall Satisfaction with Newswire

We use it to publish press releases. This is primarily for large-scale global news, such as a new award or a new research report. Newswire allows us to reach the wider global community and spread the message about the work that we do. We also use it to garner media attention to grassroots issues.

Pros

  • Easy to use interface
  • Straightforward billing/pricing model
  • Wide array of media outlets

Cons

  • It does not perfectly fit our needs, as we are a global company
  • Pricing is a bit steep for a nonprofit organization
  • The analytics could be clearer and more detailed
  • Improve SEO
As mentioned before, the Newswire platform is incredibly simple to use. We had no issues uploading our press release and paying for it.
Honestly, we had a better experience with 3BL Media as they were able to provide us with a free press release during the height of the pandemic. Their reach might have been better, actually, since we got more traction from that press release than the one we sent with Newswire.

If you have a targeted market (i.e. within the United States) and have news that is for a broad audience, then a press release via Newswire should be well suited. However, you are work in a more niche field or if you need a more global outreach, Newswire might not be for you, unless you want to spend a lot of money to do targeted press releases.
