Nintex Workflow for Sharepoint

Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform

We use Nintex Platform's Workflow and Forms extensions on our SharePoint web applications serving almost 150,000 active users monthly. Nintex is recommended as a first choice to automate user processes on our platform. Users appreciate that it is quite easy to use and that they are able to create complex workflows after only a few days of exploring and using it.
  • Process automation
  • Work with external sources
  • IT cannot check every workflow, and a single workflow can kill the whole SQL instance
  • Long-term issues with Nintex Workflow Designer (slowness)
  • Positive - we finally forbade SharePoint Designer. We now have a lot fewer issues with workflows and broken sites.
The majority of our users are non-IT (Finance, HR, logistics). Users usually automate content approval. Some departments developed pretty complicated solutions (corporate fleet management, employee on/offboarding). IT users are responsible for less than 20% of usage.
Suited for approval processes - which are 80% of all workflows in our environment. It works very well for this.

Some support engineers are better to be avoided. We often resolve issues on our own. The community web site is very good though.
