Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Workflow
Nintex Workflow has been crucial in our organization. It is responsible for workflows from approving time off requests to expense reports. We are a consulting firm. So not only we use Nintex, we are also a partner of Nintex. We recommend Nintex on daily basis to clients as well as deploying and training clients on Nintex Workflow. It is a wonder product that was designed to save time developing workflows. It made workflow building a task that can be done by regular users community with little to no training. Without Nintex, workflow development would have to be done highly skilled professionals and at a higher cost and effort. I don't get excited much about third-party products for SharePoint, but if you can only buy one product for SharePoint, this is definitely one to get.
- Easy to use drag and drop workflow design
- Easy to follow workflow history visual aid
- Workflow can be moved from one platform to another - makes deploying to client environment an easy task
- Some advanced functionalities, such as safe loop and incoming email for lazy approval, can be a little more refined
- Most actions are available for 90% of uses, but no product is 100% complete, same goes for Nintex workflow
- Nintex could provide some templates for common workflows, such as leave requests and expense reimbursement
- Some higher cost at initial deployment, however, the ROI on Nintex is quickly realized
- Workflow building can be done by your internal employees rather than highly skilled consultants - you do the math
- Covers 90% daily use cases with actions available right out of the box
Other companies have workflow products, K2 for example, or out of the box SharePoint Designer, or even Visual Studio workflow. But none have been as easy to use with on-screen drag and drop control.
