Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure

We use Nutanix AOS in our IT department and in our main data center. Since then, we offer support and services to all company facilities.

We have a complete block of 4 nodes running Nutanix AHV and Acropolis. In this platform, we have all the computer services of the company, from the database servers to the ERP application modules.

The problem we manage to solve is mainly the consolidation of our workloads, as well as generating significant savings in the rack space as well as in the consumption of electrical energy. In addition, we manage to centralize and administer manually and automatically all the processes involved in the administration of virtual machines.

Our experience was good with VMware, but much more and on another level with Nutanix.

For more than 8 years we were VMware ESXi and vCenter users and we were satisfied, but it required a more detailed administration that was time-consuming. The management of all resources was solid and worked without problems, but that was the limit. We could not fail to continuously manage everything.

With Nutanix things changed drastically, since we managed to automate and avoid worrying about things that were previously tedious. The critical comparison in all of this was the management of storage. vSAN, in comparison with Nutanix AOS, falls far behind, both in administration and in performance.
One of the main scenarios and where we noticed a big difference was the time that the IT staff spent managing our platform and our surroundings.

Before, we discussed concerns about monitoring storage systems, disk configuration, FC connections, manual firmware updates for each component, manual resource management of workloads, etc. that consumed the time of several staff members. All of this was reduced to a single person who can also spend more time doing other tasks, and Nutanix AOS is responsible for all this through automatically handling responses.

One of the main factors was the technical aspect of the solution. The decision to purchase was difficult to make, because in the world of primary virtualization and public, private and hybrid clouds, a careful approach is needed to achieve whatever goals are expected. Nutanix helped us understand all these points.

Without a doubt, there is no other company of Nutanix's size that has the speed of response and the quality of attention that Nutanix offers. Before the opening of a case of medium severity, an engineer is contacted in a matter of hours to solve the problem you have. If the problem is critical, in minutes they respond with the skills needed to solve the problems. Working with Nutanix really gives you peace of mind because you know you can always count on the support.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure Reliability

It allows us to use the platform on exchange rates in response to applications, databases, and critical company services. The performance of the storage is really excellent, even if you use it on a hybrid platform (not all-flash) like the Nuestra. We were able to increase the ERP response in a new case by more than 30% by hosting application servers and databases in Nutanix
