Okta for ease of access and security
Overall Satisfaction with Okta
I mostly used Okta for multi-factor authentication (MFA), wherein after logging in through email and password in order to provide more security Okta helps to enforce more security by connecting your mobile device to authentic that its you through signing in using a number or a group of numbers which are meant for a specific user.
Pros
- MFA
- Single sign on
- Secure access
Cons
- Slow UI
- When userd fails to log in and gets error message , the error message is vague
- Inconsistent sometimes
- Improved security
- Faster ease of giving and revoking access
- Consistent user identity maintenance
Okta enables a single, centralized system for identifying users that are authentication to the organizational works across multiple environments — including mobile (iOS), internal tools, and cloud-based apps like Microsoft 365, Zoom and other apps in order to authenticate trusted logins. Also since it has lot of connectors when creating any application it is easy to Integrate with okta.
I had two scenarios. Once when I logged in for the first time I had input a wrong alternate email address and I was unbale to change ot and it went to spam wverytime I tried, I contacted the customer support and got resolved within an hour.
Other scenarios was for a lost device amd all my settings were re registered with backup and security by okta customer help.

Honestly speaking it has been once once or twice where I had faced challenges where I was struggling to connect and authenticate as ot would open an old ui due to network issues. Other than that I had never faced any challenges logging in through okta in the system and tools.
