Overall Satisfaction with ON24

We run highly engaged marketing webinars on our products and services. ON24 has allowed us to track and measure webinars used for lead generation and help us generate marketing-qualified leads. One of the reasons we chose ON24 is because it runs inside a browser without the need to download a piece of software for our customers.

Pros

  • Reliability, extremely low outages.
  • The user interface for presenters and audience is intuitive and easy to learn.
  • Zero software or extensions to install that could be blocked for our customers.

Cons

  • There was a recent update within the past year where the UX designer or developer thought it would be best to wide all titles from the audience view until they placed their mouse on top of the window. That was the worst mistake, as we have a moderator script where we tell the audience what each of the tool bars are and they can’t grasp what the tool is without putting their mouse there. From an accessibility standpoint point, it’s back to 1999 when there was no laws about accessibility.
  • Number one above is a major pain point.
  • ON24 needs to do a better job of introducing features and soliciting feedback from their customers vs making a high impactful change like #1 described above.

We have ON24 integrated with our email marketing platform. Emails are sent to customers to invite them to register and use ON24 API to pull data into our email marketing platform. This data is registrations, attendance, and engagement. We use the data to for webinar performance for upper management, sales, and marketing reviews.
As mentioned previously, removing the title bars from the audience view tools made it not intuitive and impacted Accessibility. That is one change that needs to be addressed. From features, the standard core tool set has been extremely useful for us. We can train presenters quickly on how to use ON24, engage our customers with presentations, video, polls, and Q&A.
We’ve only used the presentation component to run marking webinars and training. The platform is easy to use, reliable, and effective for us. The platform has a robust set of tools.
The best part in my view is running in a browser. This is such a great thing because you get around companies having firewall or security software that can block it from running properly.

Having a platform where you can engage customers. It’s not only about the presentation, the polling, and customer engagement allows us to get feedback from customers. A major win for us is that it requires zero software to be downloaded. Running it within the browser window is such a huge impact. When webinar providers have software involved there could be issues with the end user trying to install and run it due to security settings or software.
