Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Content Management System

I am a daily user of the Optimizely CMS which has been heavily customised to suit the business. It is an intuitive system which I personally find easy to use. I also train other users and find it simple enough for those without cms experience to pick up. However I believe our particular set up is a bit convoluted which makes it difficult to upgrade systems as and when new versions are released. This means we do not have access to some of the newer features available.

It took around 3 months to build a full site with a team of 6. Implementation of the platform and passing through security before was about another 6months on top.

As said before the customisability of the platform is very good. However some of the out of the box features are not well thought through and logic behind them has caused issues especially around simple addresses not always being used as the default link for shortcuts, hyperlinks etc
