Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Feature Experimentation

While working at CreditSesame we usually want to test different versions or pages to see which one peforms the best, luckily Optimizely Feature Experimentation has made it very easy for us to do that. I am an Adnroid engineer, and once its set up, there is very little time spent creating variations and adding new variations. I haven't used any other A/B testing tool, so there might be a better one out there, but Optimizely Feature Experimentation definitiely is good enough for most cases.

  • Easy to add and develop on an app or web
  • Friendly customer support
  • The "flags" new feature needs more explanation
  • Ability to add more than 10 whitelisted users, this was available before, now "flags" disabled it
  • More detailed documentation

  • Ability to export the statistics to other places
  • It has positive impact on revenue, we decide with that wich variation is performing 10% better so we pivot to that
We used Firebase remote config as well to try to test different behaviorus on the same screen, using boolean flags to determine which one to show, but it was too cumbersone and difficult so we pivoted to only use optimizely as it was much better suited for that,

It is suited when you need to need to use different variations of a feature in the same experienice, it also gives you useful data and stats to better detemrine wich variation is better for you
