A great product to use to test and enhance conversion
- We have been using Optimizely to test on our plans pages - to see what copy drove higher conversion. Our winning variant had a 3% lift over control in plans purchased.
- We have been using Optimizely to test what resonates with members best when creating a listing - to see what copy drove higher conversion to completed listings. Our winning variant had a 5% lift over control in total published listings.
- We have improved various metrics throughout the course of our experimentation program with Optimizely and therefore sharing numbers is tricky. Essentially we only implement versions of the product that perform the best in terms of CVR, revenue/visitor, ATV, average order value, average basket size and so forth dependent on the north star we are trying to move with each release.

- Experimentation is key to figuring out the impact of changes made on-site.
- Experimentation is very helpful with pricing tests and other backend tests.
- Before running an experiment, many factors need to be evaluated, such as conflicting experiments, audience, user profile service, etc. This requires a considerable amount of time.
