Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Autonomous Database
We are using for our OLTP system and for our patient data and information. Since it is our core database, we look for a high performing system, which is our Autonomous database. Our various databases range from 10 TB to 25 TB and Autonomous database helps with providing superior performance.
- Performance tuning.
- Automatic index creation.
- Backup.
- Patching.
- Provide APIs for interacting with databases.
- Ability to port GCP.
- Oracle licensing is the most expensive part.
- Oracle really needs to reduce the pricing.
- Open for API scripting tools.
Teradata is good for warehousing needs, whereas Oracle is good for online transaction processing systems.
MySQL has a low cost for licensing and maintenance. MySQL has the flexibility, so you can use it for warehousing and OLTP needs. If Oracle can come up with separating compute and storage, it will fetch more.
