Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Autonomous Database
It was used by multiple BU within the organization, it was used for warehousing purposes and later data marts were created in order to support organization-wide reporting. Able to handle large data volume and support both transactional as well as data warehousing solutions. Integration with other solutions is very easy and user support/community is also very helpful. It reduces the operational cost up to some extent as it's could based.
- It can automatically scale computing, which provides very fast query processing.
- No database administration or backup replication as error handling is all done by an autonomous database.
- It has self repairing attributes.
- The Oracle machine learning can do predictive analysis.
- Multimedia could be improved as the workspace manager is missing.
- Integration with other data sources is limited.
- I can't seem to update/alter the tablespace.
- It's definitely given us positive ROI as no monitoring is required.
- Most of error and also backup is done by the system.
- Performance has increased significantly.
We had already experienced people in the team on Oracle as Oracle Database was already being used in the organization. Also, when we compared all other possibilities, it came out as a less costly solution.
