Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

We use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a key component of our business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure plan, and to host mission critical databases that require high availability. These resources are currently used within a single department but we would like to broaden the scope to encompass additional departments throughout the organization.
  • Disaster Recovery Plan Management
  • Cloud Storage
  • Cloud Database Management
  • Customer support is lacking in my opinon
  • I've found the initial integration can be confusing
  • Need more apps overall
  • Allowed us to implement a disaster recovery plan faster than we anticipated.
  • Intuitive monitoring and management interface saves our staff time.
  • Ability to test disaster recovery workflows is essential.
When compared to AWS, Azure, and Veem, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure appeared to have a more robust offering for our primary objective of Disaster Recovery. The Oracle single click disaster recovery plan creation tool was especially beneficial as this is our first true implementation of disaster recovery preparation, and we found the automated assistance very valuable. The monitoring and management panel is concise and easy to understand - not something that can be said for all the competitors. The ability to manage the entire disaster recovery plan from beginning to end is nice.

Do you think Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's feature set?

Yes

Did Oracle Cloud Infrastructure live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure again?

Yes

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers full stack disaster recovery which encompasses multiple layers (application, middleware, database, infrastructure), and delivers this decently. Various disaster recovery standbys are available, and the single click disaster recovery plan creation and management tool has been especially useful for us since this is our first time implementing true disaster recovery preparation. Unfortunately, our experience with tech support, when needed, has not been fantastic and this is an issue that has to be taken into consideration.
