Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

They have been able to help the few times we've needed to contact support. Otherwise the product just works as intended.

Very easy to use platform, multiple options for editing and creating records.
Dyn Managed DNS is used by the entire managed services division to manage client-related DNS. The platform gives us security and accountability over a critical DNS infrastructure compared to other providers.

Pros

  • Managed DNS
  • Recording keeping and history of changes
  • Uptime

Cons

  • Better integration with their own DynID, currently a two step process to register users.
  • Help for advanced products can sometimes be confusing.
  • Easy to use, great ROI.
Anyone managing multiple DNS zones would be a great fit for Dyn Managed DNS.

Evaluating Oracle Dyn Managed DNS and Competitors

Yes - We replaced several vendors like GoDaddy, Network Solutions or other "free" solutions with Domain Registrations, and also an inhouse Bind Server.
