Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Oracle Dyn Managed DNS service is used as our main DNS provider throughout our company; we chose to use it due to its high SLAs and advanced features that we used as a solution for our multi geo platform (traffic director) which helped us achieve our product needs while focusing more on the product and less on the infrastructure.

Enterprise-grade SLAs for both their service and their management console/APIs
Advanced features such as traffic director/active failover which removes the need to develop them yourself
Easy to use APIs for automation in creating/updating DNS records

Have more expert options for features such as traffic director where you can have more control over the underlying algorithms
Provide better compatibility with other providers to better allow an addition of 2nd DNS providers for its customers (to avoid SPOF)

Fulfilled our entire DNS needs, and freed our time to be invested elsewhere
Peace of mind that our DNS is in good hands with top class SLAs and availability

Dyn leads in most parts of the evaluation and lead the advanced features part we needed

If you need an enterprise-grade DNS solution, go for it! It has all of the needed features to support every use case a company might need, with high SLAs and a great support team.

Pricing might be a bit higher than other providers, so for lesser, smaller projects/companies that might be an issue.
