Oracle Linux is a simple choice to run Oracle databases for many business solutions. It's a stable Linux supported by the same vendor as Oracle RDBMS.
- Oracle Linux is a stable and reliable OS based on RHEL.
- Compatible with Oracle DB and well supported by Oracle.
- Manageability and Security.
- Easier upgrades between major releases.
- I can only see positive impact.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Solaris and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
As DBA I manage Oracle databases, Oracle Linux is the easiest to manage to compare other vendors. Support from the same OS and DB vendor saves a lot of time.
