Overall Satisfaction with Pantheon

We are using Pantheon as a way to host and manage our clients' websites. It's used across our whole organization. It allows us to focus on developing applications instead of worrying about keeping those applications up and running.
  • Performance and up-time.
  • Straight-forward developer workflow.
  • Transparent interface for clients.
  • Easier payment for site owners.
  • A better form for lead referrals.
  • Tools for non CMS websites.
  • We have been able to off-load hosting to a reliable partner so that we can focus on our speciality of web design and development.
  • The dashboard we use gives our teams a birds eye view of the properties we're managing and this has replaced cumbersome spreadsheets for us.
  • The branching system allows for feature development to occur concurrently with smaller improvements, which keeps support clients happy.
We use whatever platform best suits our clients in terms of use-case and pricing, but Pantheon's UI is preferable to our team, and the platform is generally inline with our typical approach of building distributions from an upstream codebase instead of creating and managing a multisite with multiple databases powering individual sites.
It is well suited for CMS websites of all shapes and sizes. A site that needs reliable performance and regular improvements should use Pantheon, as the workflow allows for better collaboration among different developers. The price point that Pantheon offers may be prohibitive to some clients that are used to cheaper hosting.
