Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

We use it for payroll only, but with a time cock interlocked. We are a small business and this works great at our level.

Took a little bit to get everything running smoothly, but after that no issues or problems.
  • Time and Attendance interchanges into the payroll module really simply.
  • The transition between T&A and Flex is really quick.
  • The new grid is always on basic, but basic doesn't work for me. I made my own grid but have to choose it every time, it's not automatic.
  • Any changes I make do not go into effect until next paycheck, even if you want it to go through some things just won't be immediate.
  • The price was good for our small business and they worked with us to buy the time clock to save that monthly payment.
Similar payroll system as far as information. It also has a T & A that it shares with Payroll.
I have had multiple representatives and not all so knowledgeable, but have had recent success with my new rep. But since I have filled out this survey she is no longer there so I now have a new one again.

Paychex Flex works well with time and attendance integration. Just some minor tweaking when you come from a different payroll platform.

Usability is key to any program
If I were to do it again, I would look more into the fee's with each item in whole.

Paychex Flex Implementation

They work with you and we took our time to keep every thing organized and moving in the time frame it should be.

  • Side by side old payroll and new payroll.
  • Then we moved to live with support.
  • On my own with a select representative until I was comfortable.
  • Then I was on my own.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation - Everything needs to happen in a certain way and quickly to make the transition easy.
  • Specific time to roll it over to make it the easiest for taxes.
  • Setting up policies was time consuming.
  • Setting up time and attendance was a little touchy and had to work with the employees to make sure everyone could punch in or out.
