Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

We are utilizing Paychex Flex throughout our small nonprofit. It was a struggle to keep up with payroll each week along with all of the taxes and forms necessary to keep things moving forward. Paychex Flex has definitely lessened the tasks on my plate and freed me up to focus on the day-to-day tasks required for running a small business.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • great customer service
  • super follow-up when customer service has been required

Cons

  • I had to reach out to customer service to find the proper procedure to run a bonus along with the regular payroll.
  • Given time to focus on other tasks
Paychex Flex is hands-down an easier way to manage payroll. I found QuickBooks Online to be somewhat confusing about when and where to file what form, and it was definitely more tedious than the easy flow of using Paychex Flex.
I have needed to call on customer service a few times over the last year. It was refreshing to have a real person call me back and walk me through whatever issue I was facing. They are also great at following up after the process to make sure that everything worked out well.

It was very easy to transfer from QuickBooks Online to utilizing Paychex Flex for our payroll. The process worked seamlessly and there were assurances that the transfer was done correctly.
Because Paychex Flex cost is based on the number of employees, it was a great fit for our small nonprofit. It takes some of the burdens off of my position, so that I may focus on meeting the needs of our mission and reaching out to our community. I would highly suggest giving Paychex Flex a try regardless of the size of your business.
