Paycor is the worst software decision of my career
Overall Satisfaction with Paycor
We use Paycor for all of our employee management. From Applicant Tracking and Onboarding all the way to Time and Attendance, pay, Learning Management, and Benefit Management. This product helps manage employee data, deliver payroll, as well as budget for labor expenses and manage employee scheduling. We use Paycor for almost everything about an employee.
Pros
- Onboarding works very well for us with a lot of Self-Service for employees it gives us time back and ensures data accuracy is in the employees control.
- Recruiting works well because it links to specific jobs and automatically posts jobs when an employee is separated from service.
- Tax filings work fairly well for us and have always been accurate.
Cons
- Support is really challenging and takes a long time to follow-up on and resolve issues.
- Scheduling is very cumbersome and does not have adequate controls to ensure that team members that should not be able to edit schedules cannot change them.
- They have limited solutions to problems and frequently say there is a work around which means the software is just not developed enough and they are aware of it.
- We can process Payroll in a 25% of the time that we previously could.
- Scheduling takes 2 or 3 times as much effort as it did before.
- Onboarding allows employees to do self-service but comes with a lot of questions from team members so it is net the same amount of time at the end of the day.
Our HR and/or payroll team is spending more time than we did previously due to Paycor. - Many tasks are faster but other areas requires a lot more effort then before. Particularly payroll is very fast to process but in order for payroll to process faster there are numerous approval steps beforehand that really requires managers to vet the time cards before they come over to payroll.
