Overall Satisfaction with PayPal Payments

Our organization has used PayPal previously for payment processing with our special events and online campaign donations. Donors found this as an easy and secure way to make payments. The processing charges were cheaper than the event management software we had so both our campaign and special event managers preferred PayPal.

  • Stripe
PayPal seems to be more familiar with donors but there are concerns we get about security. Stripe is similar but with a more update look and feel. Stripe offers donation amount buttons we have added in addition to a "other" button.
In the past when I contacted support the hold times were quite long and reps were not always easy to understand due to heavy accents.

We found that PayPal was best suited for donors making recurring payments as it would send reminders and allow auto draft. PayPal was not best suited when we were managing multiple events, as some clients would not notate what the payment was for and we would have to call to determine what they were purchasing.
