Overall Satisfaction with PitchBook
Our organization utilizes PitchBook to gather relevant information about startups for due diligence purposes. It's also handy to track VC investments in Nebraska and record notable stats to share with Nebraska stakeholders. Additionally, our organization reads the VC reports PitchBook publishes. Our organization needs to benchmark ourselves against other VC firms in the country and compare Nebraska VC as a whole to other states.
Pros
- Tracks venture capital investments.
- Pulls information about small startups.
- Publishes reports about VC.
Cons
- The Deals Screener can get a bit confusing.
- Deal Sizes don't always seem to be accurate; it shouldn't always round to two decimal places for smaller rounds.
- It'd be nice to see some financials and projections for companies if possible.
- Saved dozens of hours finding Nebraska VC stats.
- Made finding company contact information much simpler.
- Made it really easy to benchmark our organization against other VC firms.
We utilize some of the data for reporting purposes, specifically to share relevant Nebraska VC stats with stakeholders. The data works well for stakeholders to quickly visualize VC performance as a whole in Nebraska.
PitchBook has more accurate information and does a much better job of updating information frequently.
