Overall Satisfaction with Planful

We use Planful for our month end financial reporting, operating planning process, and ad hoc requests. The platform has grown with us from 100 business units to over 600 business units and through an IPO. The platform is dynamic and flexible and with constant updates, it will absolutely grow with us into the future.
  • Planning templates - bottoms up planning
  • Integration with Excel
  • offline planning in excel
  • ability to add attributes after configuration
  • reliance on third parties for application audits and best practices
  • charging for sandbox refreshes
  • Time savings during unit level planning, allowed us to quadruple unit level plans without adding headcount to team
Right now, we run flat reporting and send from excel. This is currently on our roadmap for 2024 to leverage.
Not fully yet, working on completing full buildout of FP&A in Planful in 2024 before breaking out into other solutions.

Well suited for a medium to large business, beginner friendly, completely customizable. Probably too much for a small business/low count of business units.

Planful Features and Attributes

Very responsive but Sandbox refreshes are no longer complimentary. In order to test configuration changes or support issues, a sandbox environment refresh is needed.
Great help documents and learning paths available for free, as well as an active community message board. Most daily users find it intuitive.
Once integrated with Oracle through an API, we are able to use Planful for up to the minute reporting and drill in of our financials.
Very much so - eliminated manual uploads from EPS to Planful through API integrations. Now we troubleshoot instead of problem solve data inaccuracies.
Recently, Planful support was able to install alternate hierarchies for us same day which elevated our planning process and needs changed. Planful helped us respond to executives requests in the moment with the implementation of this feature in our instance.
