Overall Satisfaction with Pollfish

We have used Pollfish to survey a random group of people in the United States. We wanted to test to see whether or not they understood what our business does. The type of company we are, a public adjusting company, is not very well known throughout the general population. We wanted to see how many people have heard about public adjusting, and for those that have heard about it, what is their experience and opinions about it.

Pros

  • Get surveys out quickly
  • Make creating surveys easy
  • It seems that Pollfish has a great number of participants which allowed our company to get results in minutes.

Cons

  • The cost to send out a survey was a bit pricey for what we wanted.
  • I would love a feature that allows for more "filters" for targeting specific people that doesn't require a huge additional cost.
  • It allowed us to test a random group of people's knowledge about our business type, which allowed our COO to use some responses in a presentation.
  • We needed an unbiased group of people, and Pollfish was great because we had no say in what people it did or didn't send it out to (minus that age and geography restrictions we put on it)
Pollfish was very straightforward to use and I loved how many question types there were. Many of the question types are free which was helpful for the different kinds of questions and responses that we needed. Also, it was great being able to skip certain questions for some responders depending on their answers.
SurveyMonkey was a bit more pricey for what we wanted to do with our survey. From what I remember, they charged more to target the audience that we wanted so we decided to go with Pollfish for the survey we sent out.

Pollfish is great when you want a general population survey about random knowledge or experience, one that seems unbiased and easy to get. However, if you want a more targeted audience then this might not be the best scenario to use Pollfish in without having to spend a ton of extra money.
