Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS

PowerDMS is being used for our U.S. division of the company, that includes retail stores and distribution centers. We use the system to manage all aspects of policy & procedures: development / workflow management, document retention, distribution, e-signature, at home/at work reference.
  • Amazing customer service! Friendly & client focused. It's a true partnership.
  • User interface is superior. It's very easy to use as system administrator and as an end user.
  • Real time collaboration on documents makes it easy to share thoughts/comments and make decisions.
  • The system allows for front line managers to see the activity (to-do tasks, what has been e-signed, etc.) for direct reports - which is awesome! But, in order to do this, I have to give them a little more security access than I'm comfortable with - I would like to customize their security access further. Similarly, Location Admins are not able to manage some of the daily tasks I would like (such as ignoring user test results when they exceeds the set maximum) without giving them a level of security that could impact the whole company.
  • ** PowerDMS is very interested in their customers' input. I have had many feature requests / needs that have been responded to.
  • Has given our employees access to relevant information wherever they are - at work or from home.
  • It has reduced paper filing and eliminated handbook/policy manual printing costs.
  • It has improved the consistency for communication about policies and policy changes.
We used to publish on our intranet, which was very labor intensive. I looked at several competitors when selecting a policy management system. In my opinion, PowerDMS had the most friendly user interface. Once implementation began, PowerDMS exceeded my expectations in many areas.

PowerDMS is well suited for policy & procedure management and distribution of documents that require an e-signature. Superior for documents, such as policies, that may be updated. (The system allows users to compare the current version to the last version they signed.)

This document management system is not well suited for the retention of completed forms. (i.e, what a new hire might complete and retain in a personnel file )
