Overall Satisfaction with Progress Kendo UI
Kendo UI is used in all custom developed web UI applications. Applications include department and enterprise level apps. We use Kendo UI to decrease development time by not having to create our own common widgets like grids and drop down lists. Kendo UI's JavaScript and CSS makes customizing the appearance of controls easy where the controls meet our color specifications.
Pros
- Displaying data in grids
- Centralizing UI themes
- Upgrading to new versions
- The Telerik control panel makes installing on developer machines easy
Cons
- Issues related to JavaScript can be challenging to track down
- Finding technical documents on how data is managed in individual widgets
- A better way in managing different versions of the same development machine
- Allowed for faster development times to provide better customer service
- Improved UI designs so customer service is faster and more responsive
- No negative impact on ROI
At the time of initial purchase, Kendo UI provided a more robust set of UI tools than other vendors.

Evaluating Progress Kendo UI and Competitors
- Product Features
Before purchasing Kendo UI, I had several use case scenarios which had to pass before making the purchase. An example is I had to have data grids, and upload controls. These case scenarios were determined by upcoming projects.
I don't think I would change the evaluation and selection process. By having use cases to flush out Kendo UI trial, this method provided the best way to determine the "right" software.
