Overall Satisfaction with Progress Sitefinity

[It's] Used to house our company's public facing websites. [It's] Used by marketing, IT and third-party vendors.

Pros

  • Robust.
  • Customizable.
  • Great developer tools.

Cons

  • Easier upgrade process.
  • More workflow capabilities.
  • More notification capabilities.
  • Ability to allow bulk document replaces without causing duplicates.
SharePoint was too limited. Sitecore was too expensive. Sitefinity was just right.
Sitefinity can be used for nearly every use case. It's less effective with shared document management so it won't replace your internet's document libraries.
