Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

I have used Prophix to complete our annual budget process. The largest issue we had was that our entire budget was in one excel file. With using an excel file we were concerned about the file crashing we would have to start from scratch, or human errors that are so easily made in excel. With Prophix we no longer have to worry about a file crashing and the software makes it more difficult for calculations to be thrown off due to human error. We are expanding our use this year to include our quarterly forecasts, as well as starting to build variance reporting in the software.

  • implementation (we were unfortunate to get a new consultant who was a little green)

Prophix has taken about 90% of our budgeting & forecasting process out of excel and into the platform.

I think it maybe is less appropriate for M&A activity. Prophix is great for monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting.
