Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use FlashBlade as a standard NFS share. It mainly houses large log data for security reporting and analytics. While the FlashBlade is capable of much more, it fit this small use case need very nicely.

Pros and Cons

NFS: for NAS use cases the FlashBlade excels/
Backup target: dumping SQL files to the FlashBlade is simple and fast.

The lack of CIFS support is a real shortfall.

Return on Investment

The price point and compact footprint worked well for a NAS unit in a co-location data center.

Support Rating

FlashBlade support is very helpful when issues do arise. The only issue we ran into is an issue not being resolved in the code-level support indicated it was.
