Overall Satisfaction with PyCharm
We use PyCharm to code data workflows, generate Python applications, and write in Terraform the necessary infrastructure for the data platform we are building in GCP. It allows us to develop faster due to the ease of adding widgets and extensions, the GitLab collaboration, and the console inside the IDE. The development of Python, bash, debt, and Kubernetes tools are all made in PyCharm.
Pros
- Console integration.
- Git Integration.
- Jupyter notebooks inside the IDE.
- Multiple projects.
Cons
- Connection to LLms to help us code.
- Merge commits.
- Google integration.
- PyCharm for code quality.
- Automated tests.
- Integration with clouds.
It is more complete and can handle more projects at the same time. On the other hand, Visual Studio Code has better integration with LMS to help you code. PyCharm allows you to integrate with many external tools and external servers that Visual Studio Code has difficulties with.
