Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

We are currently using Qlik across the organization in small pockets as we continue to roll out content, from items for general knowledge about our memberships down to tracking the branch incentives. The business problem that it addresses is a quick interactive platform for data delivery and reporting.

Pros

  • Interactive data delivery, research on the fly.
  • Non-intimidating way to "play" with your data, you can't break it.
  • Fast

Cons

  • The community provides lots of non-supported add-on items for the platform. They could review the amount of downloads from that environment and implement them as supported add-ons.
Qlik is much easier to implement and much faster to deliver 'fun' interactive dashboards. Tableau might look more 'professional' but is more intimidating to new users and doesn't give that warm fuzzy feeling of being able to get in and get dirty with the data.
Well suited for work places where data needs to be analyzed and compared by more than one department. Where there is no data governance, it helps get everyone on the same page with data, and to be able to interactively explain why their data might be different than another report might show.
