Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense
It's being utilized across all operations teams at the organization to better understand productivity, plan, and forecast for work. We have a total of 27 end-users and 2 developers. That includes senior management, who utilizes Qlik to get a clean and complete view of work performed in as little or as much detail as is needed.
Pros
- Viewing aggregated performance data at whichever levels are needed.
- Aggregating data from disparate sources for utilizing 3rd party tools and application data.
- Agile, what-if reporting for all users, at every level.
Cons
- Visualizations are very limited, and while an open infrastructure is great and allows for better opportunities to use new visualizations, the quality varies greatly and creators don't tend to support free tools for very long.
- Much shorter time to gain insight from data.
- Less time preparing reports from end-users.
- Shorter lead time for new report development/deployment.
We reviewed Tableau, InsightSquared, and a few others. To be honest, I don't remember all of them - Qlik was so far above and beyond the value of the others in terms of capabilities and pricing that it didn't make sense to spend much time in the evaluation stage. Qlik's free download of Sense Desktop was a huge help in my ability to socialize and sell the solution internally.
