Easy interface to learn for data readers.
Easy to connect to many data sources.

Not easy to create advanced formatting.
Do not have free built-in data lineage tool.
Nothing to handle multi-languages and translations.

IBM Cognos Analytics

We keep Cognos and Qlik. Cognos is best for formatted Excel files automated in emails. Qlik is easier to use for dashboards for the end users.

Qlik is perfect to do data mining. Answer questions or brainstorming improvements in the company processes while playing with data. It is not appropriate for highly formatted Excel extractions to give outside the business.

Qlik is the best for easy dashboarding, but use something else for formatted grid/excel reports
