Overall Satisfaction with Qualaroo Insights

Over my past two positions as a User Experience Researcher, I have used Qualaroo on cancellation pages to understand churn, on pages with new features to gauge reactions, and on common landing pages as a way to link to a longer survey.
  • Flexibility of the pop-up. It was valuable to display the pop-up after a short delay and easy to allocate traffic based on how much of the page users saw.
  • Very easy to get started. A good user experience.
  • Ability to see responses in email. This makes it easy to keep track of feedback while on the go.
  • I would like to see the pop-ups appear faster on the page and receive responses in real time.
  • Stringing questions together can be a little cumbersome.
  • I would like to see better logic branching.
  • Easier response rates and recruitment for research team.
  • Customer service has more data on cancellations.
Qualaroo makes targeting and traffic allocation much easier. It get a better response rate than Usabilla. It has more limited survey ability than products designed specifically for surveys (SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics), but those packages do no provide pop-ups in the standard package.
It's possible I will see a different product that fits my needs, but I haven't so far.
Compared to other products, Qualaroo pop-ups are easier to spot. If you want something very unobtrusive, this might not be the product for you. However, I have never heard customers complain about the pop-ups and they receive great response rates.
