Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base
We are using QuickBase organization-wide to track order entry, fulfillment processes, inventory, shipping, procurement, and production planning. I have taken ownership of developing it for our processes and have been teaching myself how to add features.
Pros
- It's very easy to learn.
- It's customizable and cost-effective in the sense that outsourcing IT assistance for platform development can be minimized and brought in-house.
- QuickBase University is included with your subscription so essentially they have provided all the resources you need to build your own app. What I did not like about SAP was A) the huge investment on the front end, and B) the fact that I would not be able to fly solo at some point and continue to develop our system as our business processes evolve.
Cons
- Microsoft Teams Integration
- Task Management - without creating a record, like keeping a running list of to-do items that are related to a specific record and can be assigned to another user.
- Productivity tracking, I'd like to see how much time employees are actively using the system and be able to drill down into old reports and fields and see their true usage for management purposes and also for app clean-up.
