Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

QuickBase is used by the entire Operations division of the organization which crosses multiple business units. Implementing QuickBase allowed us to quickly develop a scalable solution that can easily be used by multiple departments within the organization with little or no training necessary.

QuickBase has allowed departments to become self-sufficient where qualified application managers can develop apps to suit the unique needs of their department without any involvement of IT resources. This frees up our small IT department to work on other development and management tasks. It lets apps go from an idea to the user's desktop in a much shorter period of time, with significantly less strain on our project management and IT Developers. We have absolutely been able to achieve what we set out to when subscribing to QuickBase.
Coming from a traditional IT model where in-house IT staff were always responsible for developing and testing and deploying apps, I have never been in a situation where a platform for creating and deploying apps was put into the hands of the business teams. QuickBase was recommended by one of our managers as he had used the platform at another company. We did not compare this product against other products before making the decision to purchase.

As mentioned previously, QuickBase allowed the department managers to precisely develop the apps that they needed to accomplish their tasks. These address the needs of the organization and allow the apps to be used across multiple departments ensuring all departments are using the same platform and interface. The turnaround time from the initial concept to the end-users actually utilizing the application on the desktop had been drastically reduced, all without the need to involve our IT and Project Management staff.
Minor tweaks and adjustments can easily be made to any app without requiring much testing or training. It is simple and intuitive so there is no great learning curve. Updates are made all the time and they don't require much effort or involvement from anyone else besides the person managing the app. The fact that it is browser-based is also a big plus so there is no client to be deployed to the desktop and no compatibility issues to be concerned about.
Rework: Today we get emails for rework from different areas. Before QuickBase, we had no way to track the number of claims, turn-around time, trends, or follow-up with the medical networks, and we had no reporting capability. With the QuickBase program, we can have rework submitted, tracked, trended, and followed up on with reports on all of these things.

Overpayment: Before QuickBase, overpayments were sent by email, emails were converted to Excel and reporting and follow-ups were manual. Reporting was limited. QuickBase again allows them to be submitted, tracked, and have reminders tracked while allowing for more reporting abilities.

COB Investigations: Before QuickBase, these too, were tracked via e-mail only, and there was no reporting or tracking. QuickBase now gives us the ability to track and report on productivity.
