Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Alladapt is a small biotech start-up currently in the clinical trial phase and thus has limited transactions and no commercialized product as of yet. Thus QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise was a reasonable option considering the limited complexity of the accounting and number of Finance headcounts.
- Includes vendor and invoice references
- Intuitive to drill down and find transactions
- Quick posting of journal entries
- There is only one date field, and no differentiation between transaction and accounting dates
- No approvals required to modify transactions
- It has sufficiently met our current business objectives
- This would not be sufficient for a growing business with additional transaction volume and complexity
We've had to transition off of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to NetSuite in order to better support the growth of the company.
I was not involved in the implementation of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise allowed for quick financial reporting into an excel workbook for both audited financial reporting and interim reporting purposes. The reports were dynamic and able to be formatted to customize these reports. However, as we are now moving to utilize FP&A systems for reporting, we've had to manually upload the reports from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to the system, which is a manual and time-consuming process as QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise does not support a direct feed to the FP&A system (vs. other ERPs).
