Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise is used for the finance department only. We record our project expenses and revenue along with company bills, expense reports, and payroll. We generate our invoices through QB and close the books each month after month-end duties. We use to supply our 1099s through QB, but are now outsourcing this process as QB changed how they support this some years back.
- It provides ease of researching through reports.
- Entering lengthy journals and bills is a breeze.
- The system is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
- In my opinion, 1099 reporting was easier in the past when the system was not supported by a third party.
- I would like to see it providing more robust reporting features in the future.
- It would be appreciated if it could allow for multi-entity tracking within one system.
- Ease of identifying expenses that have already been submitted for by employees.
We are a multi-million company that has used QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise from the very beginning. We have 5 team members who are all able to work within the system all at once. The only part that can be tough is when the system needs to be used in the single-user mode for certain types of adjustments.
The system was very easy to set up. New accounts can be easily added and adjusted in our chart of accounts. Since the system is very user-friendly and intuitive, training is a breeze.
It is easy to copy and paste from Excel while inputting bills and expenses. This feature has made it very easy for entering long journals and bills.
NetSuite ERP is a nice system since it is cloud-based. Although the reporting capabilities for NetSuite ERP are much for robust, it can be very daunting to use since there are so many fields to choose from, many of which are hard to distinguish. Having 6 memo fields to choose from is not easy as you don't know which memo field you need! I prefer the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise reporting over NetSuite ERP.
