Overall Satisfaction with Rackspace

We hosted our multi-language website, CMS platform and other applications via Rackspace.
  • Multiple servers across the country.
  • Little to no down time.
  • Highly scalable
  • User experience.
  • Customer service.
  • Decreased down time.
  • Not very user friendly.
  • SoftLayer,HostGator,ICDSoft,GoDaddy,NetworkSolutions,Arvixe
In terms of simply hosting, all of the aforementioned solutions are more user friendly. Although many do not offer the scalability that RackSpace does, they are easier to manage. In terms of dedicated servers and hosting, SoftLayer beat out RackSpace head to head for my organization. We felt that it was a more powerful solution and much more user friendly with a higher level of customer service.
After using SoftLayer, I would not go back to RackSpace.
I worked for a company that had already implemented Rackspace for the organization. When I went to my next company and had the decision making power to choose our external hosting account, I opted for SoftLayer over Rackspace for usability and customer experience (CE).
