Read&Write is an invaluable UDL education tool
Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
We are an educational organization so we use the RW4GC (Read&Write for Google Chrome) tools to support students accessing curriculum.
Pros
- The AI enhanced voices are exceptional for students to access texts that they are unable to decode.
- The AI enhanced word predcition supports more natural typing while adding the benefits of allowing students to access their phonics to write.
Cons
- The check it tools do not function well on older chromebooks even when chromeos is up to date. The words do not underline with purple to visually show where error are.
- Reorganize the toolbar to group writing tools together, then reading tools and lastly the Research/Study skills tools
- The RW4GC tools are used as a UDL support for ALL learners. They are more necessary for some learners to access the curriculum but good for all.
No complaints with integration in LM's generally. It has some issues with Google Classroom.
There are students who had such issue with written output that as one student stated, "it's a game changer for me" to use word prediction.
