Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
I use Read&Write to read to me as I type. This allows me to listen for errors in text and correct them immediately. I also like the annotation tools, which enable me to conserve paper. I encourage students to use the picture dictionary tool to help visualize words they do not understand. It has been a great help to our ELL students. We have a student who speaks little to no English, and he has used Read&Write to support him in the classroom.
Pros
- read aloud
- annotation
- screen masking
- improve inclusion
- increased productivity
- improved learning experiences
More students are able to engage in lessons.
We had a student from Honduras enroll at our school. I introduced him to Read&Write so he could have instructional support in the classroom. He gained translation access and could communicate with other students using this tool.
The Read&Write toolbar is easier to access than other products I have used.

Evaluating Read&Write and Competitors

The state purchased this app for all public schools.
As long as the state pays for it, then evaluation and selection will not be necessary.

We did not purchase premium support because our state department of education bought this program for all Arkansas public schools.
I have never had to contact Everway for technical support.
